Agronomy Services

GMac's AgTeam provides professional agronomic sevices by highly trained agronomists.

Forensic Agrology Services

G-Mac’s takes pride in our ability to understand the science required to investigate agriculture. We have adopted a systematic approach to collecting data relevant to discovering what variables are impacting our crops. The process involves field observations, documentation, and collection of material. The goal is to provide sound assessments through collection of accurate data (physical counts, photos, soil and tissue analysis) and then rigorously challenging our Agronomy Team and partners to evaluate the situation and come up with a plan. Whether you have a problem with a pest, a suspected nutrient deficiency, or just can’t explain what is going on in your crop – we will endeavor to find an answer in a prompt and professional manner.

Soil sampling (Fertility analysis)  Highly professional recommendations can be made on follow up crops. Specific fertilizer blends can also be made up for specific needs with the help of soil fertility analysis. Graphs can be generated to display the fertility of a specific field over time. Pre-Seed Burnoff

 Soil temperature measurement

This scouting action is used to evaluate the weed species present on a field. Recomendations can then be made. The soil temperature is measured to determine germination.
Stand Establishment This is done post seeding with a minimum of 4 samples per 160 acres. Reference charts are used for target yields. Mortality of seeds are calculated. This all can help to set up a plan to manage the situation (target yield and fertilizer needed later in season) Kochia
Pre-Herbicide assessment

Scouting of specific fields and identifying weeds to determine which herbicide program to use keeping in mind follow up crops and weed herbicide resistance. This is also a good time to take samples of leaves to determine any deficiencies on young crops so that corrections can be made with foliar applications in a timely manner.

Disease scouting

Fields will be scouted for diseases early on and during the season to try to stop epidemics from spreading. Keep in mind that our agronomic team is in constant contact with other agronomists and will know of any disease outbreaks early, and scout for that specific disease could help to prevent major yield losses.

Pre-harvest inspections

Standard crop staging for pre harvest weed control. Ideal swath timing is also determined. This is also the perfect time to set up a perennial weed management plan.

G-mac's Farm Data Records

Outback GPS report

We at G-mac's Agteam feel that
"knowledge
is power",
and that's why report giving is so important.
Detailed Reports are generated which
can be understood by everyone. This is useful for future references and makes planning so much more accurate.
